The IAA RAS fundamental ephemerides of planets and the Moon (EPM): their model, parameters, accuracy
Transactions of IAA RAS, issue 26, 54–64 (2012)
Keywords: construction of ephemerides of satellites, optical observations, accuracy of ephemerides.
About the paperAbstract
In the seventies of the last century, Ephemerides of Planets and the Moon (EPM) of IAA RAS was originated and have been developed since that time. The current state of the last updated version of EPMs ephemerides (EPM2010) integrated in the PPN metric over the 1800√2200 time interval is presented. The planet part of EPM2010 ephemerides includes the improved dynamical model with perturbations from Trans-Neptunian Objects being on the mean distance of 43 au in addition to perturbations from the major planets, the Moon, the Sun, and asteroids of the main belt, the new values of parameters and the expanded database (1913 2010). EPM2010 have been oriented onto the ICRF by the inclusion of VLBI spacecraft observations into the fitting. About 260 parameters wore determined while improving EPM to more than 635000 position observations of different types. The estimated values of parameters (e.g. Astronomical Unit, geliocentric gravitation constant, their possible variations) are discussed. The real uncertainty of EPM ephemerides has been checked by comparison with observations (residuals of all data do not exceed their a priori errors) and with the JPLs DE ephemerides. The access to EPM ephemerides with their TT-TDB are available via ftp://quasar.ipa.nw.ru/incoming/EPM/.
