Comparison of the XPM catalog with the ICRF 2 and other catalogs
Transactions of IAA RAS, issue 26, 23–27 (2012)
Keywords: catalog, ICRF, proper motion, coordinate system.
About the paperAbstract
Results of comparison of the XPM catalog with the ICRF2 and other catalogs are presented and discussed. The XPM catalog is a recent realiza╛tion of the ICRS in optical and near-infrared wavelengths. It contains about 314 million objects in magnitude range from 10 to 22 magnitudes, about one thousand of them can be found in the ICRF2. Some ideas on a creation of the new realization of the ICRS in optical range of wavelengths (the HCRF successor) are proposed.
