Development and research of diode detectors for radio astronomical total power receivers

About the paperAbstract
The technique of a complete theoretical analysis and experimental study of the basic characteristics of diode detectors of microwave power is developed. Analysis and optimization of the detector HW circuit gave 45 dB detector dynamic range (within 1 dB deviation from the ideal quadratic transfer characteristic - quadratic one), and this dynamic range is considerably greater than that of the known variants of the diode detectors. It is shown theoretically and experimentally that a further increase in dynamic range of the detector to 50 dB can be obtained in the detector DDFW circuit. Frequency range of detectors - up to 2 GHz. The developed diode detectors can be used in radio astronomy total power receivers.
