About the paperAbstract
The volumes of scientific data obtained during radio astronomical observations is increasing every year. For this reason, there is a need for continuous improvement of data transmission channels and data storage systems. All servers are serving radio astronomy systems, providing Internet access and basic network services, distributed over the territory of the observatory and connected in unified local net with a bandwidth of 1 GB/s by fiber-optic lines. A separate gigabit link arranged to transmit telemetry and scientific data from the tracking station PRAO RT-22 to the scientific information processing center ASC FIAN in Moscow. The phone communication between buildings of the observatory carried out over Ethernet by using the ip-telephony. Implemented test switch to the new version of network protocol address space IPv6 on the main servers of the observatory.
