Bases of System ERA and its Satellite System Delta

Abstract

The system ERA (Ephemerides Research in Astronomy) is intensively used in solving problems concerning motion of Solar system bodies, observation planning and treatment. Also it is used to research improvements in the parameters of the Solar System bodies' motion. The ERA system bases on table-oriented data treatment facilities. In the paper we propose the method of extension Pascal programming language with table operations, which are the base constructions of ERA language. The method is implanted in the Delta system. Due to the method proposed one could use table-oriented facilities both within stand-alone problem oriented environment of the ERA system and in the general purpose traditional languages. The Delta system implementation creates new possibilities of applying the ERA system in ephemeris astronomy.
