Abstract
Design of the S/X band feed with circular polarization is considered. The design is allowing of increasing number of frequency channels, according to requirements of a method of a broadband delay. The feed represents coaxial system of ring radiators of S and X bands. For decrease of noise temperature of the device, the feed is placed in a dewar with a radio transparent window, where it is cooled to temperatures of hydrogen level. According to mathematical modeling, X-band channel of the feed has following characteristics in a range from 8500 to 9000 MHz: — VSWR is less than 1.6; — Sum of return and isolation losses is less than 18 %; — Axial ratio is less than 3 dB; — Beamwidth on the level of minus 10 dB is (120-130)0; — Sidelobes and backlobe levels are less than minus 18 dB.

The design is allowing of increasing number of frequency channels,
according to requirements of a method of a broadband delay. The feed
represents coaxial system of ring radiators of S and X bands. For
decrease of noise temperature of the device, the feed is placed in a
dewar with a radio transparent window, where it is cooled to
temperatures of hydrogen level. According to mathematical
modeling, X-band channel of the feed has following characteristics in
a range from 8500 to 9000 MHz: — VSWR is less than 1.6; —
Sum of return and isolation losses is less than 18 %; — Axial
ratio is less than 3 dB; — Beamwidth on the level of minus 10
dB is (120-130)0; — Sidelobes and backlobe levels are less
