Abstract
Absolute gravimetry is widely used in geodesy, navigation, geology and in the fundamental metrology. Currently the bulk of the absolute measurements of free-fall acceleration are performed using the absolute ballistic gravimeters (ABG). The results of International Comparison of Absolute Gravimeters in 2005 showed that the uncertainty in the measurements using the best ABGs is about 5?10-8 ms-2
