Abstract
From the analysis of laser ranging distances to the geodetical satellites Lageos-1 (1988-2003) and Lageos-2 (1992-2003), the estimate 0.0613 ± 0.0013 is obtained for the dynamical Love number kd2 (the scaling factor of the near-diurnal tidal variations induced by the fluid core in the coefficients c21, s21 of geopotential). As a by-product, the time behavior of the coefficient J2 of geopotential (constant shift, secular trend, annual and semi-annual variations) is studied from the same analysis.
