Experimental Studies of the Broadband Digital Signal Conversion Channels Used in VLBI Observations

A digital broadband acquisition system (BRAS) has been studied in its operation during our regular VLBI observations through the RT-13 radio telescopes. The results of these studies are presented. The compatibility of the BRAS channels with the channels of similar foreign systems and the possibility to carry out joint VLBI observations have been demonstrated. The compared results of the RT-13 and the RT-32 observations show that when using the BRAS, the loss of sensitivity due to the reduction in the diameter of the antennas is completely compensated. We have estimated the accuracy of the UT corrections determined during the VLBI observations which use the BRAS.
