## Possibility to Use Ultrafast Logic Microchips in a VLBI Radio Telescope Phase Calibration System

### Abstract

The “Quasar” system traditionally uses Comb generators for its phase calibration. These generators are based on step recovery diodes generating frequency combs. Another approach is to use ultrafast logic integrated circuits. IAA RAS is working currently to create the Comb generator based on ultrafast logic which can give an opportunity to change the pulse repetition rate and the impulse duration remotely. This article presents our main results.
