About the paper

Abstract

Methods of estimating the navigational environment have been developed for satellites on geostationary and highly elliptical orbits that take into account their technical characteristics and features of their orbits. Solutions of the classical navigation task are impossible with constellations of 4 or more GLONASS and GPS navigation satellites in most cases of single-frequency or dual-frequency measurements when using satellite navigation equipment (SNE) for these orbits. The authors recommend the use of SNE interval measurement information where a measured parameter is the first difference of no-request simultaneous SNE measurements of the signals from 2 navigation satellites (NS). This excludes errors in the SNE board frequency standard. Possible schemes of interval measurement have been researched and analyzed. Recommendations for implementation are suggested. The accuracy of orbit parameter determination was estimated a priori using different measurement schemes. Rational and acceptable frameworks have been defined for single-frequency and dual-frequency simultaneous SNE interval measurements of the signals from 2 navigation satellites (GLONASS and GPS) in respect of various working angles on the NS antenna directivity diagram.
