About the paperAbstract
International Celestial Reference Frame (ICRF) is referred to accurate positions of extragalactic radio sources which are observed by the global VLBI network under the operation of the International VLBI Service (IVS). The first version (ICRF1) was announced in 1995, and the second version (ICRF2) in 2009. The floor error of positions of the best radio sources in the northern hemisphere has been improved from 250 to 40 mas. Currently, newly established IAU Working Group has started preparation of the next catalogue, ICRF3. It is expected to be finalized by the General Assembly of IAU in 2018. Apart from traditional activities, the following problems are to be solved:
