About the paperAbstract
A research prototype of an ultra-wideband feed was designed and built based on our calculations. Measurements are presented for the following main feed parameters: phase and amplitude radiation pattern in E-, H-, and D- planes, gain, voltage standing-wave ratio, and isolation between the orthogonal channels. Channel isolation across the operating range is not worse than 16 dB, VSWR is less than 1.8: 1 in the range from 5 GHz to 14 GHz; it is less than 2.5: 1 in the range from 3 GHz to 16 GHz. The measured radiation patterns in E-plane and H-plane are close to the calculation and simulation results
