About the paper

Abstract

The main features of the Radioastron mission and correlation processing of the data obtained from Earth-to-Space interferometers are considered. The FX-Architecture Correlator is designed to take into consideration all peculiarities of observations with the help of an Earth-to-Space interferometer. It supports all currently available VLBI usable input/ output data formats along with the effective fringe search procedures by means of the ASL Locator software application. 1385 sessions of February 2012 to February 2014 data ( 75 % of the whole Radioastron data volume) are successfully processed and the results are transferred for analysis. The Space-to-Earth correlations are successfully detected at 32 % of the processed sessions and with the record baseline length of 345 000 km ( band), 295 000 km ( band) and 190 000 km ( band). For the time being the ASC correlator is the only world correlator capable to process VLBI data in Coherent mode supporting SC frequency/time synchronizing from the Earth based Hydrogen maser
