Abstract

The terrestrial radio facilities keep their important place within the architecture of the Russian system for positioning/timing and navigation support (PTNS). It is a numerous and heterogeneous class of systems and complexes solving a wide spectrum of tasks in the interests of national economy and defense of our country. This paper gives plans for improving these facilities which, along with significant enhancing operational parameters, make provision for their deep mutual integration with GLONASS based on the common positioning/timing basic. It is shown that development and wide implementation of integrated navigation users' equipment is one of key conditions for efficient use of PTNS system in various branches of our state's national economy and defense.
