Abstract

A rheological model for description of time propagation of a local and brief perturbation across the elastic Earth's body is proposed. It is shown, that the perturbed rotation and Chandler wobble of the Earth decrease after perturbation's act: damping time of the first process is about $30\div 40$ minutes, and that of the second one is about $1.3\cdot 10^3$ years.
