Abstract

The IAA RAS information network is a complex distributed system uniting the LANs of sites in St. Petersburg and three observatories. For reliable operation of the entire system it is necessary to ensure the monitoring of hardware and software. The main task of monitoring is the targeted impact on the network hardware and software tools to organize the functioning of the network complex according to a given program: switching systems on and off, monitoring data channels, diagnosing and troubleshooting, collecting statistics and preparation of reports. The article presents a variant of the implementation of the centralized monitoring system for the information network.
