About the paper

Abstract

Taking into account a high accuracy of the point positioning with the use of GPS and GLONASS observations, rather small effects due to ocean tides have to be considered. An improvement of the existing ocean tidal models may be done by two methods. The first one is based on the inclusion of model parameters in the set of unknown parameters when measurement data are processed. The second method is the Fourier analyses based approximation of the point coordinates corrections which have been received as a result of the 24 hours long GNSS measurement session. Amplitudes and phases of the ocean tides are used as the parameters of this set, which are adjusted by the Least Square method. This paper presents the results obtained by the second method.
