Fundamental national ephemerides of planets and the Moon - EPM and their parameters estimated from observations

Abstract

The EPM ephemerides (Ephemerides of Planets and the Moon) of IAA RAS originated in the seventies of the last century and have been developed since that time. At present the series of numerical EPM ephemerides has been constructed at IAA RAS. The EPM ephemerides are the basis of calculating data published in the Russian Astronomical Yearbook. The updated the EPM ephemerides include the new values of planet masses adopted by the XXVII GA IAU and other constants, the improved dynamical model with Trans-Neptunian Objects and the expanded database (1913-2009). About 260 parameters have been determined while improving the planetary part of EPM2010 to about 620000 observations of different types. The EPM2004, EPM2008 ephemerides with the TT-TDB corresponding differences are available via ftp: //quasar.ipa.nw.ru/incoming/EPM/
