Abstract

One of directions for realizing requirements to system time scales in space-based navigation systems is the generation of GLONASS System Time (GST) as an ensemble time (ET) Such an approach will enable one to provide high reliability and continuity of GST generation, to increase its long-term stability and as a result to increase the accuracy parameters of GLONASS frequency/time support. In the article the principles and algorithm for ET generation are considered, the factors and estimation of potential ET accuracy are given, the experimental results of realizing ET based on time scales of terrestrial complex's measurement facilities and time scales of time /frequency references (TFR) at the sites of the State Time, Frequency and Earth Rotation Parameters Determination Service.
