About the paper

Abstract

AA RAS operates the Data Transmission and Registration System (DTRS) for the RT-13 two-element radio-interferometer based on 13.2 m diameter antennas. [1,2]. The most important task for DTRS is rapid transfer of VLBI data from the stations “Badary” and “Zelenchukskaya” to the IAA RAS correlation and processing center. Timely transmission of the data allows us to quickly provide the space navigation system GLONASS with the corrected universal time. Efficiency is an important parameter for the GLONASS system which is directly related to the accuracy of the navigation software. VLBI data volume of the RT-13 single-hour session is about several terabytes. We need to use high-speed protocols in order to transfer such amount of data efficiently. Tsunami-UDP and UDT protocols are being used for this purpose. These protocols are commonly used in our country [3-5] and foreign organizations [6-9].
