About the paper

Abstract

Improving the orbit of 356,968 numbered asteroids enabled us to calculate systematic biases in the star catalogs USNO A2.0, UCAC-2 and UCAC-3 from the calculated О — С values. The celestial sphere was divided into 10,212 sectors which were identical in size and area. Each of the 70 234 284 observations made after 2001 was referred to a certain sky sector. The biases in the star catalogs were calculated for each sector as the arithmetic mean values of the corresponding . The variability rates of the USNO A2.0 catalog systematic errors were defined for some celestial sphere sectors.
