About the paper

Abstract

Quasar VLBI network is a part of the global VLBI network which investigates cosmic radio sources in the Eastern hemisphere. Quasar is equipped with standard receivers working on 3.5 cm and 13 cm wavelengths. Also, it has additional low noise receivers in 1.35 cm, 6 cm, and 18 cm wavelength ranges. Regular VLBI observations have been started on 6 cm and 18 cm wavelengths on agendas of several international programs. This article presents first results of maser source structure investigations in hydroxyl lines (W3OH) and water vapour lines (Orion KL and W49), including polarized emission. The structure of a 25-mas large bipolar flow is determined in the Orion KL source. Active zones are identified and matched in both polarizations of the W3OH gas-and-dust system.
